The project aims to maintain a strong connection with the existing site and community, to foster a sense of belonging, permanency and resilience. This is a new building of simple complexity, with intricate shapes made of simple pieces with attention to detail. Mirroring SHG’s values, the architecture speaks of Craftsmanship, Discovery, and Advocacy.
Intertwined interior and exterior landscaped areas will expand the plaza indoors and program outdoors. This permeable ground floor will welcome the community to experience Art and Nature in as much needed green plaza with remnants of the existing building as historical reference.
